Build Better Money Habits That Actually Stick
Our monthly budgeting program helps everyday Australians take control of their finances without the overwhelm. Real strategies, practical tools, and support when you need it.
Six Core Areas We Focus On
Budget management isn't just about spreadsheets. It's about understanding how money fits into your life and making choices that support what matters most to you.
Monthly Budget Mastery
Income Tracking
Learn to map all your income sources and understand the real money coming in each month, including irregular payments and side income.
Expense Analysis
Discover where your money actually goes. We help you categorize spending without judgment and find opportunities that make sense for you.
Savings Strategy
Build realistic savings goals that fit your lifestyle. From emergency funds to holiday savings, we make it manageable.
Debt Management
Create a clear plan for managing debt that doesn't require you to live on two-minute noodles. Practical approaches that work.
Goal Planning
Connect your budget to what you want from life. Whether it's a house deposit or a career change, align money with meaning.
Review Systems
Monthly check-ins keep you on track without becoming another chore. Simple reviews that take minutes, not hours.
What Makes Our Approach Different
We've been teaching budget management in Dubbo since 2018. And honestly? We've learned as much from our participants as they've learned from us.
Most budgeting advice tells you to cut everything fun and live like a monk. That's not sustainable. We focus on awareness first, then smart choices that fit your real life.
- Start with your current habits, not some ideal version of yourself that doesn't exist yet
- Monthly workshops that fit around work schedules, with weekend options available
- Real budget templates you can actually use, not complicated spreadsheets that need a PhD
- Small group sessions where you can ask questions without feeling silly
- Follow-up support because the first month is never the hardest one
Who This Program Suits
Our next intake starts September 2025. We keep groups small because budget work is personal and everyone needs space to work through their own situation.
This program works well if you're earning regular income but feel like there's never enough left over. Or if you know you should be saving but can't figure out where to start.
It's less helpful if you're dealing with serious financial hardship. In those cases, we'll point you toward appropriate financial counselling services instead.
Most participants are somewhere between 25 and 55, though we've had people outside that range do well too. The common thread is wanting to understand money better without judgment or pressure.
Classes run Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings over eight weeks. You'll need about two hours weekly for the session plus another hour for homework. Yes, there's homework. But it's your own budget, so it's actually useful.
Quick Wins You'll Learn
These are some of the practical skills you'll pick up in the first few weeks. Simple stuff that makes a difference.
The 50/30/20 Reality Check
You've probably heard of this rule. We'll show you how to adapt it when your rent is already 40% of your income and life costs what it costs.
Subscription Audit
Find the streaming services, apps, and memberships you forgot about. Usually saves people $30-80 monthly without missing anything.
Card Strategy
When to use debit, when credit makes sense, and how to avoid the traps. No moral lectures, just practical strategy.
Goal Costing
Break down big goals into monthly numbers. Makes a house deposit or career break feel possible instead of impossible.
App Setup
We'll help you choose tracking apps that work with Australian banks and actually sync properly. Saves hours of manual entry.
Quick Daily Check
A 2-minute morning routine that keeps you aware without becoming obsessive. Awareness prevents most budget problems.
Meet Your Instructors
We're not financial advisors or accountants. We're budget educators who've helped over 400 people in regional NSW get their money sorted.
